Have you ever seen anything like The Wisdom Wheel? If not, let novelty be reason enough to take a leap and subscribe to my posts. My promise is to show you our world and each other anew, via a different set of laws and lenses. Subscribe for the heck of it. Over time, you might learn enough to like what you see, and use it yourself eventually.

Bringing the Wheel to Substack is an unabashed bid to gain it the recognition we know this tool deserves because many of us have used it, for over two decades. And what better way to prove the Wheel’s relevance, than to bring it to the thought leaders and the general public, for widespread demonstration and conversations?

Since developing this Wheel in 1997, I’ve taught to hundreds of people, in person and online. They have called it many things, depending upon their own needs and personal application requirements: “a map for making meanings,” a method for bringing order out of chaos,” and a '“launching pad and a landing pad.”

To beginners it may look like a crazy wise pile of rocks. It’s only when we consider these themes, respond to them with our individual stories, share advice, talk and write their tested usefulness, that the Wheel comes alive in our daily lives. Keeping the Wheel to myself, or reserving it for some small circle of initiates, won’t do much good.

Take Them To The Wheel is a double entendre. Yes, I’ll take your questions to the Wheel, to run them through its quadrants and these natural, Universal Laws to collect advice. But my dual intention is to prove how this invention works, to the skeptics. In the most practical manner, the Wheel can provide you the most unusual advice. The Wheels of the world have been reliable oracles for eons, as you’ll see if you stick with me.

When writing up the answers the questions you send me, I’ll archive my posts, to share with others. And your responses will also be visible, if you chime in. And, if you need to request anonymity, I’ll can change your name.

Speaking of names, here are a few more people have given to the Wisdom Wheel: “Nature’s Bill of Rights,” “a Universal Constitution” and “a personal map for reconciling the inner and outer journeys.” One friend recently laughed, “It’s where the rubber of my individuality meets the road of universality.”

Whatever you decide to call this set of stones, I hope you’ll join us for an ongoing adventure. For over two decades the Wheel has been grounding and centering me, and my friends. As our circle of acquaintances grows and widens, we hope you’ll feel welcomed.

Without the Wheel’s presence and this practice, I doubt my other jobs as mother, wife, friend, author, ceremonial leader, and teacher would be sustainable.
